The protection of your personal data is important to us. All information that you send us about yourself will be treated with absolute confidentiality and processed exclusively in connection with your application.

Below we explain the purposes for which we process your personal data, how long we store it, who can view it or receive it from us, and what rights you have in this regard.

Basic information on processing

We process your data for these purposes:

  • Implementation of the application procedure
  • Contract initiation and establishment of an employment relationship
  • Addition to the applicant pool, if applicable

We process your data based on these legal bases:

  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR - for contract initiation and establishment of an employment relationship
  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR - Consent

We process the following categories of personal data:

  • Your application details (contact details, CV, qualifications, professional information, proof of previous employment, portrait photo, salary request if applicable)

The provision of personal data is necessary for the conclusion of a contract. Insofar as this is based on your consent, the provision of data is voluntary. It is not possible to process the application without this information. If you do not provide us with individual data, the application process may not be able to be carried out correctly. No automated decision-making / profiling takes place as part of this processing.

 

Recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data may be disclosed

In order to fulfil our tasks, to carry out your request or to fulfil a legal obligation, it is necessary to pass on your personal data to the recipients named below:

  • Internal recipients: Personnel administration, management, if applicable the respective line manager
  • As part of order processing: external IT service provider in the case of an online application and SaaS provider of our company software

 

Data transfer to third countries / international organizations

Data will be transferred to bodies in countries outside the European Economic Area (so-called third countries) if this is required by law, if the applicant has given their express consent or if this is legitimized by the legitimate interest under data protection law and does not conflict with any higher interests of the applicant worthy of protection.

Müller-BBM VibroAkustik Systeme GmbH uses service providers for certain tasks, which may use sub-service providers that may have their registered office, parent company in a third country (e.g. Microsoft). A transfer is permitted if the European Commission has decided that an adequate level of protection exists in a third country (Art. 45 GDPR). If the Commission has not made such a decision, the companies or the service provider may only transfer personal data to service providers in a third country if appropriate safeguards are provided (standard contractual clauses adopted by the EU Commission or the supervisory authority in a specific procedure) and enforceable rights and effective legal remedies are available.

 

Duration of storage

The data will be deleted after expiry of the applicable retention periods. These are:

  • Your application documents will be destroyed or deleted no later than 6 months after rejection.
  • If consent is given for further use for other relevant vacant positions, the data will be stored until revoked, but for no longer than one year.
  • If an employment relationship is established, the application documents are filed for at least the period of employment.

 

Your rights as a data subject

You can exercise the following rights at any time by contacting our data protection officer at the e-mail address given above:

  • Right to access,
  • Correction of incorrect personal data,
  • Deletion,
  • Restriction of data processing,
  • Objection,
  • Data portability, and
  • Withdrawal of your consent.

Individual right of objection

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Art. 6(1) lit. e) GDPR.

If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
